Certificate of entitlement (COE) prices ended higher across the board in the latest tender yesterday. COE premiums for cars up to 1,600cc and 130bhp rose 7.1 per cent to finish at a five-month high of $34,001. COE prices for cars above 1,600cc or 130bhp posted the sharpest increase, rising 11.8 per cent to reach $41,361, also a five month high. Premiums for the Open COEs, which can be used for any vehicle type except motorcycles but end up mostly for bigger cars, were 2.5 per cent higher at $41,001.
LTA will announce the quota for the next three month period coming end October 2019. My personal opinion coming CAT A and CAT B (COE) prices will either maintained or slowly increase for the next 3 years as next two coming years the deregistration cars will be the lowest in the last 10years cycle.
